Me, Nico, created this company in 2017 after a 3 months trip in South America. I’m in love with my city and when I came back from my trip, I discovered that there was no free walking tour in the third biggest cities of France. So, I created it and since then, I have the privilege to share my knowledge and my love for Lyon with everybody.

And if you're wondering why we're doing free walking tours, here's why: I’m not a businessman, I’m just passionate about my city and I love sharing and meeting people. That’s why a free walking tour was the best option for me. Letting people decide the price for a tour is the fairest way to do it according to me.

This was our first free walking tour and it certainly won't be our last. I just hope they're all as good as this tour, because we can't praise Jean-David enough. JD delivered a fantastic tour, which was well paced, a good mixture of historical and cultural insights and was able to answer all our questions. What was great was he also shared plenty of other places to go and visit, as well as handy recommendations for bars and restaurant. Thanks JD,

Very pleasant and interesting tour in Lyon. Many curiosities, some street art and then history, architecture, art, commerce and food in Lyon! Many more better than wandering all alone without knowing at what are you looking and ignoring all the stories it may hide ;)

Carolina gave us an understanding of the history and evolution of this city from ancient times to the vibrant cosmopolitain centre it is now while giving us a feel for its spirit. I especially liked her attention to the art works sprinkled all around that we would likely not have otherwise noticed. Lots of great stories helped make the tour fun. Carolina is a delightful guide and I highly recommend her tour.

Frequently asked questions about the tour

Is booking mandatory to participate in a free walking tour?

It is mandatory. In order to give you the best experience, we limit the size of the group. And of course, people with booking will have priority over other people. So, if you are sure to come, better to book. If you haven’t booked yet, don’t hesitate to come anyway. Luckily there will be a spot for you!

Are tours family friendly?

Our tours are family friendly. Nonetheless, if you have a stroller, you have to be aware that we’ll be climbing some steps. So, be prepared for it! The night tour is not violent and there’s no screamer but it is still some very dark stories. So, if your kid is very young, maybe it is not the best tour ever. But we accept everybody. It is your decision.

In which languages are you offering your tour?

Our main tour is in French and English. Our night tour is in English only. But, for large groups or a private tour, we can provide tours in Spanish.

Where and how can I find you?

Our main tour is starting from the second main square of Lyon "Les Terreaux", close to the fountain. Our night tour is starting from the main square of Lyon "Bellecour", close to the big statue of Louis XIV. We always have a huge white umbrella. So, you can’t miss us.
