At Real City Tours we've spent the last seven years sharing our love and passion for our city with over 200 thousand visitors. We love to connect with people from all over the world to show them the different faces of Medellin.

Our walking tours are run exclusively by locals (born and raised in Medellin), who are not only guides, but storytellers. Our aim is to go beyond showing you the sights, to offer you an honest and open-minded perspective of our city and country.

1. Free Walking Tour: The original free walking tour in Medellin, which we have become famous for! Visit downtown Medellin’s main sights and see them come to life through stories, explanations and urban legends.

2. Barrio Transformation Tour: Want to get off-the-beaten path? Explore the city's most densely populated neighborhood and learn about its powerful story, as well as the complexity of Medellin's recent transformation. (NOT in Comuna 13)
3. Local Food Tour: Hungry and eager to try some local treats? Nibble your way through one of Medellin’s cool residential neighborhoods and find out about the traditions behind some of our favorite specialities!
4. Exotic Fruits Tour: Have you heard of chontaduro, lulo or algarroba? Visit one of Medellin’s markets and experience the taste, colors and textures of Colombia's unparalleled fruit biodiversity.

She gave amazing advice on places to eat and other things to do around the city. Since I've taken two tours with this group, I can honestly say they are wonderful.

This tour was perfect. We went back in February 2020 with some friends. Pablo was so informative, charming, interesting and friendly. You could ask him anything. The tour was approx 3 hours or so, so wear suitable clothing for the weather and appropriate shoes but there are a lot of stops on the way. There is so much history and great stories that Pablo recalls. Highly recommend.

The Free Walking Tour covers the main sights in downtown Medellin: Old Railway Station, Alpujarra Administrative Centre, Plaza de las Luces (Square of Lights), Carabobo pedestrian street, Palacio Nacional (National Palace), Veracruz Church, Botero Square (Sculptures Square), Pedro Nel Murals, Berrio Square, Junin pedestrian street and San Antonio Square.

Do you offer private tours in Medellin?

Yes we do! We can offer all of our tours on a private basis. Contact us for details and rates.

What should I bring to the tours?

Comfortable shoes, sun protection and water. During the rainy seasons, it is also a good idea to bring an umbrella or raincoat.
