We had a great experience with Lenny! We had our two kids with us on the tour and he was patient and willing to work around their needs. The tour was full of interesting information and was fun! We loved our experience. Highly recommend!

100% would recommend. Sam is very knowledgeable. A local tour is always a great insight. Sam was very helpful, approachable and had a great sense of humour with his delivery. Sam took his time to speak to everyone on the tour and was very welcoming. Thanks Sam for the great tips and hints in the city!

What is the difference between the Melbourne Sights and Culture Capital Tour? Which one should I do?

The two start in the same place but cover different parts of the city. If you’re short on time and can only join one: The Melbourne Sights tour gives an in depth introduction to Melbourne, it’s stories and everything you need to know to have the best experience in Melbourne. The Culture Capital tour helps you get in touch with the unique culture of Melbourne, what makes Melbourne such a great place to live and how this has evolved.

Do I need to book an I’m Free Tour of Melbourne?

Yes, we require bookings so we can manage group sizes.

Where does the tour start and how do I find my I’m Free tour guide?

Your guide will meet you at the start point wearing a bright green “I’m Free” T-shirt. Both the Melbourne Sights and Culture Capital tour start from State Library Victoria. On Swanston St near the statue of Sir Redmond Barry.

Is the tour ever cancelled?

We walk in any weather, rain, hail or shine. We have only ever cancelled when a guide was unwell and we were unable to replace them at the last minute. Equally, if you are feeling unwell, please let us know and we’ll happily reschedule your booking to another time when you’re feeling better.

Are your tours accessible for wheelchairs and prams?

Our Melbourne Sights and Culture Capital tours are both fully accessible.
