We were in Minsk and sent a Whatsapp message to this tour operater asking if they could take us on a free walking tour (it's covid times so such things are a bit uncertain). They responded affirmatively and within hours we met our guide, Tanya, who led us through town. She spoke excellent English, and taught us a ton about Belarus culture and history. She also gave us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat in town. It was the best thing we did during our trip to Minsk, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

My cousin Pierre and I did the free walking tour with Tania in a time when they weren't many tourists in Minsk. Tania is a real ambassador of her country. She knows so much about it and her city and gave us an entirely new perspective on Minsk. We covered Minsk and Belarus history, visited several Soviet buildings, a typical cafe from Soviet times, but also October street, a trendy neighbourhood where old factory buildings are being revamped by beautiful murals, bars and restaurants. We loved it!

I had a lovely tour with Aleandra, it was exactly what I wanted. The tour gave me a great overview of the history of Minsk and Belarus during Soviet times and I learnt a lot about current Belarus. Walking Independence Avenue with a guide to point out the gems I might have missed, the post office interior being one, was a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Alexandra was a font of knowledge but never dry and understood that though I was coming from a place of ignorance of most of the details I was interested. Highly recommend.
