My husband booked this tour after a couple of hours after landing so I was a bit exhausted, but once the tour started Rafa had us entertained from the beginning to the very end. The interaction, knowledge, history, and enthusiasm that Rafa shared was one that we enjoyed and would do it all over again! Thank you Rafa for making our first day in Barcelona a memorable one!

We were staying in the area on the tour and found so many nice places we could go back too. We also mentioned we was going to Sagrida Familia but hadn't booked tickets, Marina advised us too so we didn't miss out which was a great tip. In the short break at the coffee shop we were told about other activities the team ran, we decided to go for the bar crawl and had a great time.

Our tour was a free walking tour of the Barri Gotic area. Rafa, our guide, was the best! He provided an interesting talk about the history and culture of Barcelona and Catalunya, and how it is to live there now. He also gave interesting fun facts about streets we passed, and places to see outside of the walk. I would really recommend doing a walking tour, because it make you see the city you are visiting in another way, and you learn a lot!

Frequently asked questions about the tour

Are free walking tours really free?

Our tours are based on the principle of free contribution. You are free to join, free to leave and in case you enjoy the tour, you are free to tip your guide however much you consider the tour was worth.

How much do you tip for a free walking tour?

We recommend tipping 10 euros per person. Anyway, as we said, you are free to chose whatever is in your budget and you feel comfortable with.

Do you recommend doing the tour at the end or at the beginning of our holidays?

Always at the beginning, it helps you to understand more about the culture of the city your are going to enjoy and you will always get tips and new ideas to really take advantage of your time here.

Does the tour run if we have bad weather conditions, like rain, or wind?

Safety is always first. Your tour guide will evaluate if it’s possible to run the tour. Luckily in Spain we enjoy beautiful weather most part of the year and we can always provide solutions to save your day in case the weather changes.
